The following national and international conferences and seminars have been organised by the Department in college premises in the past few academic sessions:
- Yeats and Kipling: Retrospectives, Perspectives; an international conference series organised from 10th to 18th March 2015 in collaboration with the Department of English, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, and the Oberoi Cecil, Shimla, with the support of the University Grants Commission and Primus Books.
- Interrogating English Studies in India; an international conference organised from from 5th to 7th February 2014 with the support of Sahitya Akademi, Delhi and with Primus Books and Cambridge University Press.
- Criticism and environmental praxis: An Academic approach towards Ecological Humanism; a national conference organised from 24th to 25th February 2011 with the support of the University Grants Commission.
- Women’s Writing: Writing Women; an international conference organised in November 2009 with the partial support of Sahitya Akademi, Delhi.
- Testing Testing; an international conference organised from 9th to 10th December 2005 in collaboration with the Department of English, University of Delhi.
The following workshops have been organised by the Department in college premises the past few academic sessions:
- Active learning for the Twenty-first Century; organised from 27th to 28th May 2015 in collaboration with the Regional English Language Office (RELO), United States Embassy, Delhi.
- Teaching Academic Reading and Writing; organised from 4th to 6th May 2015 in collaboration with the Regional English Language Office (RELO), United States Embassy, Delhi.
- Academic Writing; organised from 12th to 14th May 2014 in collaboration with the Regional English Language Office (RELO), United States Embassy, Delhi.
- Streaming for B.A. Programme English: Issues and Possibilities; held from 9th to 10th September 2012 under the mentorship of Ms. Dee Broughton, University of Idaho.
- Playwriting/scriptwriting; held from 15th to 17th March 2011 under the mentorship of noted playwright Mahesh Dattani.
