Bharati College, one of the top women’s college in West Delhi, is a constituent college of the University of Delhi and caters to about 2000 students, offering instruction in eleven disciplines in the Arts and Social Sciences. The Department of English is one of the oldest academic departments in the college, and offers a baccalaureate in Literatures in English as prescribed by the University. Along with English Studies, the Department has, over the past few decades, evolved a strong base in English Language Teaching, ELT, and has made significant contributions at the inter-college level to pedagogy on the same.
